The days of sunshine as in this picture are very rare at present .
Today I took salmon from the freezer to cook for my tea . When shopping today I bought Jersey royal potatoes to have with my salmon . Everyone knows you need fresh mint in the water for flavour . I had to don my raincoat and take an umbrella to go six yards in the garden to pick the mint !!

The end of May and we are still cosying on the settee with a crochet blanket to read or sew . Still the central heating going .Never mind , they say the rain is good for the complexion .

I love to put fresh mint with new potatoes, and then sprinkle them with home grown parsley.
Isn't the weather impossible?!

I am getting used to this rain, the birds certainly like it judging by the noise they are making in the woods here! Your cooking sounds earthy and healthy and seasonal.

Fresh mint in a lot of foods yum...potatoes, fresh peas and of course lamb.
My daughter made a salad with all the regular salad ingredients, with the addition of crab pieces, chopped mint and parsley, and an oil and vinegar dressing, it was delicious.
We have had some much needed rain today.

It's beautiful here today. Warm, sunny and no wind. Rain forcast for tomorrow though. Hugs

We are having unusually cool weather also. The end of May and I am still wearing winter flannel pajamas! Very odd for us.
