Quick call.can't stop long

Bluebell and myself went to visit an old friend on Sunday morning , Barbara has a shop at an antique centre . She sells beautiful lace and linen and cotton bed stuff also tablecloths . We have both been seduced many times by her wares and arrived back home with empty purses .  This visit was no exception . I purchased lavender bags and bluebell bought lavender bags and a lovely bed cover to give as Christmas presents .

The last photo is of the lavender bags  . She cuts up antique and embroidered tea cloths to make the bags . They smell wonderful plus whoever receives one as a gift are getting a one off , no two are alike .
barb is the one in the grey sweater, I'm the one in the middle with no arms!! but thinking about it the other two only have one arm each .

Another photo much the same but Barb wanted to show the copper , that is her husbands input to the shop . He used to sell antique furniture and lovely old tea sets but ill health has severely  curtailed his business .

Also in the building is this wonderful wool shop . I'm a woolly collector , much healthier than chocolate .

This lovely nativity scene is in the shop display .

I have been after Christmas cacti for several weeks . Garden centres said ,sorry ,not this year .  One last try and these were found but the price nearly knocked me off my feet ,but if you want you have to pay .

These are the lavender bags that Barb makes from her antique and embroidered tea cloths .
I'll visit again soon , Bye.

can see you all enjoyed the day. Re the christmas cactus I have had one for more years than I can remember, lots of buds on it so will be glorious I hope for Xmas. All you need to do is taker a small piece of an existing plant and put it into a pot and in no time you will have your own, if you are ever up Leeds way I will give you some. I used to have a few plants but afraid disposed of all but the origional due to lack of space, now the kept one takes up do much room it move it to the spare bedroom when it has finished flowering till the buds reappear then it comes back down into the living room

I would come home with a very empty purse. Barb has a wonderful shop. With your love for wool it must be like paradise to you. A very good time was had by all, according to the pictures.

Tomorrow is our day of Thanksgiving. One of the things I'm thankful for is that I found your blog and have gotten o know you through your posts.

Best Wishes, Barb

Lovely stuff, what a nice day you had, but by the clothes your wearing the weather was cold. Like to see the wool that you bought.

OOO shopping, what fun.
I used to have some Christmas Cacti... many years ago. I now am left wondering what happened to them?
I probably killed them, I'm not too good with house plants.
