I'm in the good position where my christmas projects are complete . It's lovely to think I can sit and read at night .
I feel a need to slow down on the patchwork . I bought a felting kit at Malvern , I want to play with that . I want to machine my pictures using tiny scraps that really are only fit or small enough to throw in the bin . I know I shall always return to patchwork but I need a break . I shall look at the t,v instead of just listen .
I love reading blogs and seeing the amazing stuff that is created . I look at pinterest .
Today I put up my red gingham kitchen curtains so now christmas is coming into my home .
Ah! life without pressure is sweet .

Gingham is so fight for the kitchen, my everloving has made me a dresser without doors so that I can have gingham curtains to match the windows. Now I need to make a table topper and pot holders.
Your quilt is lovely and festive and will keep you cosy warm on these cold winter days, I don't live far from Malvern, in Hereford in fact, and I never realised there was a Malvern Quilt Show.........I will have to note it on my calender for next year.
What a lovely feeling that must be, I'm still in the midst of making and unfortunately keep finding new things to make! I do love the look of your red and white quilt, I have seen a similar log cabin Christmas quilt in red, green and white on Pinterest that I might try in the new year thanks for being so inspiring x
How lovely that you can now relax.I envy you your gingham curtains, such good memories gingham evokes, my primary school summer uniform was green gingham.Enjoy your sabbatical from quilting, and have a very Christmas and best wishes for 2013.
I have gingham memories also. When my daughter was a child I would make us matching sundresses from gingham....the orange and white was our favorite. I remember how lovely your house was last year at Christmas and I look forward to seeing it again this year. Your beautiful quilt will certainly fit right in! I wish you a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
